Interconnected Smoke Detectors, GSM Alarm Set
Set of 3 interconnected smoke detectors with the function to call and send a SMS text message upon a fire alarm. The smoke alarms are connected with an RF (radio frequency) module. If one of the smoke alarms detects smoke, all sirens will sound. One of the detectors has an integrated GSM communication on-board, to warn contact persons in the situation of a fire. The interconnected smoke detectors are completely battery-operated and do not need additional cables or telephone line.
The smoke detector (smoke alarm, also called fire alarm) combines the Ei Electronics Ei605TYC smoke detector that is certified to the highest standards with the smart Mobeye low-power GSM technology. The battery-life time of the smoke detectors is 10 years (non-replaceable). The GSM communicator has, due to the energy-efficient Mobeye design, a battery lifetime of over a year on one set of batteries. The batteries can be easily replaced by the end-user.
It is possible to link more smoke and / or heat detectors (Ei 600 and Ei650-series) to this network. Any detector of the Ei600 and Ei650 series can be interconnected by using the associated radio frequency module.
For the GSM communicator a SIM card from any provider can be applied. It is recommended to use the M2M roaming Mobeye SIM card (see SIM info). Connection with the Mobeye Internet Portal using a Mobeye SIM card unlocks many more features, such as programming via internet. The “keep-alive” monitor provides additional security by monitoring the communication. If test messages were not sent in time, a warning is sent.
Applications for interconnected wireless smoke alarms with GSM communicator
Standard smoke detectors are meant to protect people at home. The siren will awake people, that can take care of themselves. When the building is empty or people cannot flee on their own, a set of interconnected smoke detectors is the ideal solution. Each room needs to have a smoke detector. The Mobeye interconnected smoke alarms can be used
- in void property
- in temporary situations
- for the protection of vulnerable people
