Description
Mobeye CM-Guard CM4000 – 4G alarm communicator
The Mobeye CM4000 is a universal 4G alarm communicator designed to monitor any technical installation. Connect sensors and contacts directly to the inputs — when an input registers an alarm status, the CM4000 sends instant notifications by app (iOS/Android), voice call, SMS and email.
The unit runs on batteries for over a year on a single set, or connect an external power supply (12–24V DC or mains) for permanent installation. When externally powered, the CM4000 also sends power failure alerts — often the first sign that something is wrong at a location.
The integrated 4G communication module connects with 2G fallback, ensuring reliable alarm delivery. Contacts are fully configurable with selectable notification types, and reporting to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) is supported.
Setup takes just a few steps. The compact housing (94 × 94 × 28 mm) can be placed free-standing, wall-mounted, or fixed to any surface.

Universal Alarm Communicator
The Mobeye CM4000 remotely monitors technical installations and machines via two NO/NC inputs. Connect any potential-free sensor or alarm contact to track device status, machine operation, or sensor conditions. When an input changes state, the CM4000 sends an instant alarm notification.
The unit offers a range of configurable settings: automatic arming and disarming schedules, custom alarm texts per input, alarm delay, restore messages, repeat notifications and test messages. The 4G communication module connects with 2G fallback for reliable alarm delivery. Batteries are included.
Need more inputs? The Mobeye CM4040 offers four potential-free inputs, while the Mobeye CM4042 adds two relay outputs on top of that.
How the Mobeye CM4000 Works

- Connect a potential-free contact to one of the inputs of the CM-Guard. This can be a fault signal from an installation, or a sensor with make/break contact.
- The CM-Guard detects any status change on the inputs. When connected to external power, it also signals a power failure.
- In the event of an alarm, the Mobeye CM-Guard sends alarm notifications by app (iOS/Android), telephone call (voice message), text message and/or email. For the push messages there is a choice between an escalation plan or group message. With the escalation plan, the recipient can confirm the push message, so that the other contacts no longer receive the message. If none of the recipients confirms the push message, a phone call is made. The number of contacts is unlimited.
Typical Applications for Mobeye CM4000
The Mobeye CM4000 connects to any normally open or normally closed contact, making it suitable for a broad range of monitoring tasks:
- Sensor monitoring — receive an instant alarm when a sensor changes state
- Machine monitoring — detect failure signals and faults in industrial equipment
- Broken wire detection — identify wiring faults before they cause downtime
- General alarm messaging — use as a standalone alarm communicator for any contact-based trigger
The CM4000 works with or without an external power supply, so it can be installed wherever it is needed.
Use Case Examples
- Security installers connect the CM4000 to home or office alarm systems to send SMS alerts and voice call confirmations the moment an alarm is triggered.
- Factory engineers link the CM4000 to failure signals from machinery and air conditioning units, receiving instant notifications when a malfunction occurs.
- Pump engineers install the CM4000 in pump chambers to monitor pump operation around the clock. A water float sensor can be connected for continuous water level monitoring.
- Cabinet security — fix a magnet contact to any cabinet door and connect it to the CM4000 to monitor access and protect valuable contents.
- AED cabinet monitoring — the CM4000 alerts administrators immediately when an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) cabinet is opened, helping to ensure life-saving equipment remains ready for use.
✅ Using the included Mobeye SIM card? You get full access to the Mobeye Portal and app, 4G connectivity with 2G fallback, unlimited contacts, push notifications with escalation plan, and remote programming. Subscription rates at mobeye.com/en/sim-portal.
⚠️ Using your own SIM card? If you use your own SIM card, the features of the Mobeye Portal and Mobeye App will no longer be available. Alarm notifications will instead be sent via text message and/or phone call to a maximum of 5 phone numbers. Please note that not all mobile network operators support the call function, some additional security features will be unavailable, and Mobeye will be unable to provide the full range of support options. For full functionality, use the included Mobeye SIM card.
