Description

Mobeye ThermoGuard CM4200 Temperature Detector

The Mobeye ThermoGuard CM4200 helps prevent damage from cold or overheating. By setting a lower and/or upper limit, this compact 2G GSM/4G LTE-M device monitors the ambient temperature. The CM4200 is equipped with a highly reliable temperature sensor. As soon as the temperature falls outside the user-specified limits, an alarm message will be triggered. The device is entirely battery-powered or can be connected to an external power source. The built-in communication module can connect to the 4G LTE-M and the 2G GSM network.

In the event of an alarm, the Mobeye ThermoGuard CM4200 sends alarm notifications via an app (iOS/Android), telephone call (voice message), text message, and/or email. The contact persons are set with choices for the method of alarm. These messages also provide the current temperature reading.

The Mobeye ThermoGuard can operate for over a year on a single set of batteries. A notification is sent when the battery voltage is low. When using an external power source (12-24V DC or mains), it also sends “power failure” notifications. These power failure notifications are often the first indication that something is amiss and requires attention.

Mobeye ThermoGuard, reliable and simple

In addition to the temperature sensor, two potential-free sensors can be connected, such as a failure contact or a door magnet contact. The settings are easily programmable, including temperature limits, automatic switch-on and switch-off times, alarm delay, calibration value, repeat messages, test messages, and alarm texts.

How it Works

The Mobeye CM4200 continuously measures temperature values. The alarm dialer promptly sends notifications if it becomes too cold or too hot, giving you complete control.

  1. Place the sensor in a location with a stable temperature, not too close to the cooling element or heat source.
  2. Configure the temperature limits and add contact numbers for notification purposes.
  3. Once the measured temperature exceeds the set limits, the ThermoGuard CM4200 sends alarm messages to these contacts. When using the portal and app, you can set up an escalation plan, including alarm confirmation.

Typical Applications for the Mobeye CM4200 ThermoGuard

The Mobeye CM4200 ThermoGuard is a highly reliable temperature monitoring and alarm system designed for precise and continuous temperature control. It provides instant alerts when temperatures exceed or fall below defined thresholds, helping users prevent spoilage, equipment damage, or safety risks. This makes it ideal for professionals who require dependable remote temperature monitoring in sensitive or high-risk environments.

Common applications for the Mobeye CM4200 ThermoGuard include:

  • Medical refrigerators, ensuring safe storage of vaccines, blood samples, medicines, and other healthcare products
  • Server rooms, protecting critical IT infrastructure from overheating
  • Cold storage areas, such as those used for dairy, seafood, meat, and wine cellars
  • Void properties, where frost or heat alarms help prevent damage in unoccupied buildings
  • Livestock sheds, maintaining optimal temperatures for animal welfare
  • Fish tanks and aquariums, ensuring stable water temperatures for aquatic life

SIM, Portal & App

All Mobeye monitoring devices require a SIM card for communication. The product comes with a budget-friendly SIM card, which provides direct access to the Mobeye Internet portal. Using your own SIM card limits certain functionalities.

SIM
The Mobeye M2M SIM card (low-cost, flat-fee, multi-provider) enables full functionality, allowing access to both the Mobeye Internet Portal and the Mobeye App.

With the Mobeye SIM card, communication occurs over the 4G LTE-M network with 2G as a fallback. When you insert your own SIM card, the device utilises the 2G network. Alarm messages are then transmitted via SMS and/or call to a maximum of 5 telephone numbers.

The Mobeye SIM card is PIN-protected and works exclusively in a Mobeye device. Do not insert it into any other device. For more information about the Mobeye SIM card, visit: mobeye.com/en/sim-cards. Details on the rates for using the Mobeye Internet Portal and SIM card can be found at mobeye.com/en/sim-portal.

Free App for your Smartphone
The Mobeye Messages app is available for download from both the Google Play Store (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS).

If you would like to use a Mobeye SIM card but it was not included in your package, please contact the MobeyeStore team by completing the contact form to request one.
