Mobeye MiniPir Intruder Alarm iCM41
The Mobeye MiniPir Intruder Alarm iCM41 is a compact wireless PIR burglar alarm for monitoring indoor spaces. The built-in PIR motion detector identifies movement and sends an alert to designated contacts by push notification, phone call, SMS or email. The battery-powered alarm requires no mains power or wiring, making it a portable PIR alarm that can be placed or mounted where protection is needed.
The iCM41 uses a built-in 4G LTE-M communication module with 2G fallback to transmit alarm notifications. An unlimited number of contacts can receive notifications through the Mobeye Portal, and alarm forwarding to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) is supported.
The push notification is delivered through the Mobeye Messages App. Messages can be sent to all contacts simultaneously or to contacts in a defined order. An acknowledgement stops further notifications. If no acknowledgement is received, the system can proceed with phone calls to the designated contacts.
The iCM41 is also available as a container alarm with mushroom antenna. For outdoor protection or drafty places such as halls and stables, we recommend the Mobeye Outdoor Alarm (CMVXI-R).
How the Mobeye iCM41 Works
The Mobeye MiniPir detects movement caused by a heat source and sends an alarm notification when an intrusion is detected.
- Place the alarm horizontally or mount it on the wall in a clean, indoor location. Point the sensor into the room and avoid glare or direct sunlight on the lens.
- Activate and deactivate the alarm with a tag or use automatic schedules configured in the Mobeye Portal.
- If the MiniPir detects a ‘moving heat source’, it will transmit alarm messages to your designated contacts.
Switch on and off
You can activate and deactivate the Mobeye MiniPir using a tag. Two tags are included; up to 25 tags can be enrolled per device. Automatic switching times can be scheduled via the online portal. When connected to an external power supply, the MiniPir also supports SMS control.
Upon arming with the tag, you have sufficient time to leave the room. During the exit period, an exit indicator will sound. The passive infrared (PIR) motion detector determines whether someone enters the room. After detecting an intrusion, the entry timer begins. If the system is not deactivated in time, an alarm message will be sent.
PIR Sensor
The sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted. When set to high sensitivity, each detection is promptly reported, making this configuration the preferred choice. On the other hand, with low sensitivity, the detector responds somewhat less sensitively. This setting helps in preventing false alarms triggered by factors such as drafts.
Set-up in the Mobeye Portal
The MiniPir operates with the Mobeye SIM card, which costs EUR 4 (excl. VAT) per month as a flat fee. The device is activated and configured through the user-friendly Mobeye Portal. You can set your contacts and choose the alarm notification method in this portal. The Mobeye SIM card can be used internationally, leveraging the 4G LTE-M and 2G networks.
