Description
Magnetic contact (surface) – AC-MC-S1
The AC-MC-S1 is a surface-mounted magnetic contact sensor designed for use with Mobeye CM4-series alarm devices. It detects whether a door, window, or cabinet is open or closed, and passes that signal directly to your Mobeye system — which can then alert you by push notification, SMS, or phone call.
How It Works
The sensor consists of two parts: a reed switch and a magnet. When the door or window is closed, the magnet sits flush against the switch, keeping the circuit in its set state. The moment the door or window opens, the magnet pulls away, breaking the circuit and triggering an event. That event is then handled by the connected Mobeye device — whether that means sending a push notification, an SMS, or placing a call to a pre-set number.
The AC-MC-S1 supports both NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) wiring configurations, making it compatible with a wide range of setups beyond the Mobeye ecosystem.
Where to Use It
The compact dimensions (40 × 18 × 15 mm) and 3-metre cable make the AC-MC-S1 easy to fit in tight spots. Common installation points include:
- Front and back doors
- Windows (casement, sash, or tilt-and-turn)
- Desk drawers, cabinets, and storage units
- Server racks, fuse boxes, or any enclosure that should stay closed
