Mobeye provides remote monitoring for EV garages, electric vehicle workshops and areas where electric bikes are stored or charged. You can monitor access, smoke and fire alarms, temperature, water and power supply. When a monitored condition changes or an alarm is triggered, Mobeye sends an alert to the responsible person.

Monitor an EV garage remotely

An EV garage needs protection against intrusion, fire, excessive heat, water damage and power failures, particularly when nobody is on site. Electric vehicles, e-bikes, charging equipment and other electrical installations may remain unattended for hours or days. Remote monitoring provides an early warning when something requires attention.
A garage may have several access points, including doors, roller shutters, gates and service entrances. Contact sensors can monitor these openings and trigger an alarm when an entrance opens unexpectedly.
This is particularly useful outside normal working hours, when the garage is closed and nobody is nearby to respond. Several people can receive the alert, so an alarm can reach a responsible employee, security service or other designated contact.
The same approach can be used in bicycle storage rooms and other locations where electric bikes are stored. Monitoring an entrance helps protect vehicles and equipment when the location is unattended.
Access control
Access control can help manage who enters an EV garage, workshop or bicycle storage area. Mobeye offers a telephone-based access control solution that can activate an output when an authorised telephone number calls the system.
This can be used to operate a door, gate or other access-controlled function without handing out physical keys or access cards. The system can also keep a record of access events, depending on the configuration.
For locations where access control is not required, door contacts can simply monitor whether an entrance opens and trigger an alarm when an unexpected opening occurs.
Detect heat and fire
Fire and abnormal heat are important risks in garages and storage areas where electric vehicles or e-bikes are stored or charged.
The Mobeye CM4400 combines an Ei Electronics optical smoke detector with a 4G communication module. It sounds a local siren when smoke is detected and immediately sends a fire alarm to your phone. Notifications can be sent through the Mobeye app, by telephone call, SMS and email. The CM4400 is completely battery powered, so no cables, Wi-Fi or telephone line are required.
The CM4400 is suitable where one smoke detector with remote notification is sufficient. It can also send automatic test reports and technical alerts, such as a low battery warning. An unlimited number of contacts can receive alarm notifications, and alarms can also be forwarded to an Alarm Receiving Centre for professional monitoring.
Where several smoke and heat detectors need to be interconnected, Mobeye offers the CM4100 with the Ei428RF relay interface. This connects a detector network to the Mobeye communication system and allows alarms to be reported remotely.
A separate Mobeye temperature sensor can monitor a defined temperature range and trigger an alert when the temperature exceeds the configured limit. This provides temperature monitoring alongside, rather than instead of, smoke and fire detection.
Detect water leaks and flooding
Water can damage vehicles, electrical equipment and the building itself. A water detector provides an early warning when water reaches the monitored area.
Place the detector where a leak or flooding is most likely to occur. If water is detected, Mobeye sends an alert so that someone can investigate and take action.
This can be useful in EV garages, bicycle storage areas, workshops and charging facilities where electrical equipment may be installed close to the floor.
Monitor power failures
A power failure can affect charging equipment, lighting, ventilation, security systems and other electrical installations.
Mobeye can monitor the presence of a power supply and send an alert when the monitored power source fails. This makes it possible to respond to a power interruption even when the garage or storage area is unattended.
Remote monitoring without Wi-Fi
Mobeye monitoring systems communicate over the mobile network. Monitoring therefore does not depend on the garage’s Wi-Fi or fixed internet connection.
This is useful for garages, workshops and storage facilities where there is no suitable internet connection or where an independent communication path is preferred. The system continues to monitor the connected sensors and sends an alert when an alarm condition occurs.
EV and e-bike security with Mobeye
Mobeye helps you monitor garages, workshops and storage areas when you cannot be there yourself. Intrusion, excessive heat, fire alarms, water detection and power failures can be monitored with suitable Mobeye equipment.
When something requires attention, the system sends an alert to the responsible person, allowing them to investigate the situation and take appropriate action.
