Description
The Mobeye Call-Key MCK400 is a user-friendly and secure access control system designed for buildings with a single access point, such as a door, gate, or fence. It is particularly suitable for situations where access rights frequently change. The system operates by allowing authorised users to open the lock through a simple phone call.
The Mobeye Call-Key includes a call-in module that can trigger an electronic strike plate or gate control. When an authorised telephone number initiates a call, the device’s relay activates, unlocking the connected access point without incurring any costs for the caller. Access rights can be easily managed through a secure online portal, where administrators can grant access for unlimited periods or specific time windows, such as certain days or hours. The Mobeye Call-Key automatically updates and stores these permissions locally. The Internet portal also provides detailed logs showing when and by whom the door was opened.
On-site internet connectivity is not required as communication is handled via the device’s built-in 4G module, which utilises the Mobeye SIM card. The system is compatible with all electronic locks and strike plates that respond to pulse or switch commands.
Relay Outputs
The Mobeye Call-Key is equipped with two relay outputs that control the lock. These bistable relays can switch up to 30V/1A. Output 1 activates after an incoming call or SMS command, while Output 2 is controlled solely via SMS. After a predefined pulse time or a new command, the relays reset automatically.
Automatic Unlocking During Set Hours
An optional timer feature allows the system to automatically unlock a gate or door during specified opening hours. This schedule can be set within the Mobeye Call-Key system to automate the locking and unlocking process.
Intruder Alarm Functionality
The Mobeye Call-Key also features two NO/NC inputs that can be connected to an alarm contact, such as a magnetic door sensor. This enables the system to function as a basic intruder alarm. If the door or gate is opened without prior authorisation via phone call, the system sends an alarm notification through the app, phone call, SMS, or email.
Power Supply
The device is powered by a mains adapter but can also be connected to a regulated 12-24V DC power source. Additionally, two CR123 batteries can be inserted as a backup power option. In the event of a power failure, the system sends a notification alerting users to the issue.
How it Works
The Mobeye Call-Key unlocks doors and gates upon receiving a simple call. At no cost to the caller, it verifies whether the call originates from an authorised phone number.

- Connect the electronic locking plate of a door or the motor of a gate opener to the relay output of the Mobeye Call-Key and supply power.
- Manage user access easily through the online portal. Share the Call-Key’s phone number with users and ensure ‘number recognition’ is enabled on their phones.
- When an authorised user calls the Call-Key, the relay activates, opening the door or gate. The portal then logs access attempts, displaying who unlocked the door and who was denied entry.
SIM and Portal Service
The Mobeye Call-Key is supplied with a Mobeye SIM card and integrates with the Mobeye Portal. Communication is conducted via a 4G connection, with 2G fallback if necessary. An API is available for companies wishing to integrate the system with their own access management software. Although a private SIM card may be used in exceptional cases, the Mobeye SIM is recommended for optimal functionality, and specific terms and conditions apply. Contact us for more information on usage and conditions.
The rate for utilising the Mobeye Internet Portal and the SIM card is € 7 (ex VAT) per month.
